The protest, held near Deshoddaraka Bhavan in Basheer Bagh, demanded legal action against the police officials responsible for the attacks.

Anumalla Gangadhar, President of the Telangana State Photojournalists Association, and K.N. Hari, General Secretary, strongly criticized the Delhi Police for their alleged brutal assault on photojournalists covering an Aam Aadmi Party protest in Delhi. They emphasized that journalists and photojournalists have a duty to cover political events and that attacking them is unacceptable.

Revanth Reddy to Join BJP After Lok Sabha Polls, Claims KT Rama Rao

Hyderabad :- Speaking at a gathering of party leaders and workers at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad, KTR asserted, “In contrast to Rahul Gandhi’s ‘chaukidar chor hai’ claims, Revanth Reddy is saying PM Modi is his elder brother.”

KTR further predicted that the Congress is likely to secure a meager 40 seats in the upcoming polls, making Revanth Reddy the first Congress leader from Telangana to switch allegiance to the BJP post-election.

In a scathing critique of the Telangana Chief Minister, KTR accused Reddy of diverting a staggering sum of Rs 2,500 crore to his party’s high command in Delhi in preparation for the Lok Sabha elections.

“The Chief Minister sent a fund of Rs 2,500 crore to his party high command in Delhi for election expenditure. We have a Chief Minister who speaks like a pickpocket but fails to provide able administration to the people of the state,” KTR was quoted by local media as saying.

KTR also alleged that the Congress in the state has been raising corruption issues from the former BRS government to divert public attention from corruption within Revanth Reddy’s government.

BJP’s Alleged Coercion Tactics: KCR Stands Firm Amidst Daughter’s Arrest

0

Hyderabad :- In a dramatic turn of events, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) purportedly exerted pressure on Telangana Chief Minister KCR for an alliance in the state’s upcoming Lok Sabha elections. When KCR stood his ground, refusing the alliance proposal, the BJP allegedly resorted to arresting MLC Kavitha, the Chief Minister’s daughter, on what KCR’s supporters claim are false charges.

Addressing a Secunderabad LS Review Meeting on Tuesday, Shaik Abdullah Sohail voiced staunch support for KCR, emphasizing the Chief Minister’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation’s secular and democratic values. Despite facing immense political pressure, KCR reportedly chose to uphold his principles, opting to see his own daughter imprisoned rather than capitulating to the BJP’s demands.

The purported arrest of MLC Kavitha by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has stirred controversy, with KCR’s supporters alleging it as a blatant attempt to coerce the Chief Minister into an alliance with the BJP. KCR’s steadfast refusal to yield, even in the face of personal sacrifice, has garnered admiration from his supporters, who view his stance as emblematic of his commitment to the state’s autonomy and democratic ethos.

As political tensions escalate in Telangana ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, KCR’s defiance against alleged political coercion serves as a rallying cry for those advocating for the preservation of the state’s political sovereignty and democratic principles.

Chief Secretary Assures Ample Water Availability in Telangana’s Main Reservoirs

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari reaffirmed on Tuesday that there is no cause for concern regarding drinking water availability during the current summer season, as the three main reservoirs in the state boast sufficient water levels.

Addressing district Collectors and senior officials via video conference on drinking water supply, the Chief Secretary dismissed speculations attempting to project a water shortage in Telangana, despite challenges faced by other states.

“Despite below-average rainfall, the water levels in key reservoirs like SRSP, Sripada Yellampalli, and Nagarjunasagar remain consistent with last year,” stated Santhi Kumari. She urged Collectors to remain vigilant and ensure alternative arrangements where necessary.

Acknowledging administrative deficiencies in some municipalities and villages, Santhi Kumari emphasized prompt resolution and urged Collectors to address water-related concerns highlighted in media reports.

Looking ahead, the Chief Secretary outlined plans for emergency pumping from the reservoirs after the second week of April. While Hyderabad enjoys sufficient water supply, increased demand due to commercial activities remains a challenge, according to Water Board officials.

Assuring proactive measures, Santhi Kumari highlighted the implementation of a Summer Action Plan and the allocation of funds to districts to mitigate drinking water issues. She called upon Collectors to rectify management errors swiftly and prioritize uninterrupted water supply.

Congress Delays Candidate Announcements for Eight Telangana Constituencies Amidst Internal Strife

0

Hyderabad:- As the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) swiftly name their candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Congress finds itself embroiled in internal disputes, delaying the announcement of candidates for eight crucial constituencies in Telangana.

Internal bickering and criticism over the perceived lack of social justice in ticket allotment, especially towards turncoats, have left the Congress grappling with dissent from various quarters. Notably, the delay in filling nominated posts has further exacerbated tensions within the party.

Among the constituencies still awaiting candidate announcements are Khammam, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Adilabad, Warangal, Bhongir, Medak, and Hyderabad. Of the five candidates unveiled so far, objections have been raised over the prominence given to recent entrants, particularly those from the BRS.

Leaders within the Congress have voiced concerns over the allocation of tickets to turncoats and the perceived favoritism towards certain families within the party. Criticism from groups like the MRPS and the Telangana Muslims Joint Action Committee has underscored the need for broader representation and fairness in candidate selection.

Amidst these challenges, the CPI state unit is pressing for at least one seat under the alliance, with hopes pinned on securing the Bhongir constituency. Despite stiff competition among Congress leaders, efforts are underway to strike a balance by nominating candidates from diverse communities across the state.

Of the 17 constituencies in Telangana, three are reserved for SC, two for ST, and the remainder for General categories. As speculation swirls regarding potential candidates, figures like Mynampally Hanumanth Rao and Neelam Madhu emerge as contenders, reflecting the party’s deliberation over community representation.

The All India Congress Committee (AICC) is slated to convene a crucial meeting in New Delhi on Wednesday to finalize candidates. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is expected to travel to New Delhi to participate in the deliberations, underscoring the significance of resolving internal conflicts ahead of the elections.
