In his conversation with a group of students from Kerala, Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar expressed his disapproval of parents who excessively pressure their children to pursue careers like civil service or engineering, disregarding the child’s genuine interests in fields like music or photography.
He mentioned that parents sometimes impose their own aspirations on their children, which he deemed unhealthy.
The Vice President highlighted that success can be achieved in various domains, emphasizing the importance of allowing children to choose their own paths.
The students he spoke to had won the Mann Ki Baat Quiz Competition organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan in Thiruvananthapuram.
