Bhadrachalam, Sunday: A 28-year-old man from Hyderabad, identified as Harish from Amberpet, was washed away in the Godavari River on Sunday.
According to police officials, the incident occurred when Harish, along with four other young men from Hyderabad, visited the Bhadradri Temple to offer prayers. Following the visit, the group went to bathe in the river. Unfortunately, Harish was swept away due to an inability to gauge the water’s depth.
The other four individuals remained safe. Expert swimmers have been engaged in the search for Harish. Recent rains have caused a slight rise in the river’s water level, complicating the rescue efforts.
