A delegation led by Dr. A.A. Khan, Honorary President of the Telangana State Minority Employees Service Association (TS-MESA), met with the new District Collector of Nalgonda, Ms. Ila Tripathi, to discuss upcoming celebrations for Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s birth anniversary on November 11. The delegation presented her with a bouquet to extend a warm welcome and submitted a formal representation requesting observance of National Education Day and Minority Welfare Day in Telangana.
The representation emphasized that November 11, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s birth anniversary, is celebrated nationwide as National Education Day in honor of India’s first Education Minister. Additionally, the Telangana government observes this day as Minority Welfare Day, dedicated to the welfare of minority communities in the state. However, in recent years, these celebrations have been scaled back in the district. The delegation urged the Collector to revive large-scale celebrations, as previously conducted, including organizing awards for teachers and students.
In response, the District Collector assured her support and directed the District Minority Welfare Officer (DMWO) to handle the proposal and necessary arrangements.
The TS-MESA delegation included Mohammad Abdul Aleem (General Secretary), M.A. Parvez, Engineer Aslam, and social workers Mohammad Sharif , Burhan Sharif, M.A. Jaleel, and Katela Shiva.
