Hyderabad, September 21 2024 :- After nearly ten days of dry weather, heavy rainfall returned to Hyderabad on Friday night, bringing much-needed relief from the prolonged heat. The Telangana Development Planning Society reported widespread downpours across the city, with several areas receiving substantial rainfall.

The highest rainfall was recorded at Bansilalpet, which saw 68.5 mm, while Gunfoundry closely followed with 68.3 mm. Other significant rainfall amounts were noted in Uppal (67.0 mm), Begum Bazar (62.8 mm), and Nacharam (61.3 mm).

Yesterday, strong winds accompanied by heavy rain lashed many parts of Hyderabad, causing minor disruptions in traffic and daily activities. Several low-lying areas experienced waterlogging, but no major incidents were reported.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, has predicted further rainfall over the next two days, warning that isolated heavy showers could affect Hyderabad and nearby districts. This forecast has urged authorities and residents to remain cautious, as more rain is expected to impact the city and surrounding areas.
