Hyderabad: Telangana Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy presented the 2nd Prize in the ‘Maha Lakshmi Category’ for best photography to senior photojournalist Mohammed Aleemuddin at a state-level competition celebrating World Photography Day 2024. The event took place at Hotel Green Park, Begumpet, on Monday.
Aleemuddin, son of Mohammed Sayeed Uddin, founder of Style Press Photo Service Hyderabad, also received a consolation prize in the Best News Picture category. Both awards included a trophy, merit certificate, and prize money.
The ceremony was attended by K. Sreenivas Reddy, Telangana Media Academy Chairman, M. Hanumantha Rao, Special Commissioner of the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) department, and other dignitaries. Aleemuddin, with over 33 years of experience, has been recognized for his outstanding photography across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, earning multiple awards since he began his career in 1991.
