Hyderabad, 27 July 2024 – The Computer Science and Engineering Department of Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology (MJCET) hosted a project exhibition on Saturday , showcasing a variety of innovative projects undertaken by students, alongside the Annual Day celebrations. The event featured creative projects demonstrating the students’ technical proficiency and inventiveness.
The event began with a welcome address by the head of the CSE department, Dr. Syed Shabbeer Ahmad, who highlighted the significance of the “Project Exhibition” as a platform for showcasing innovative talent. He expressed pride in the students’ inventive and creative ideas, as well as their technological proficiency.
Mr. Zafar Javeed, Honorary Secretary of Sultan Ul Uloom Educational Society, emphasized the importance of such events in fostering creativity and entrepreneurship. He also praised the efforts of both the staff and student organizers.
The distinguished chief guest, Dr. Sri Ram Birudavolu, CEO of Cyber Security of Excellence, underscored the value of entrepreneurship and innovation in the computer science industry. He offered guidance to students and staff on shaping their goals through professional excellence and provided insights into cyber security.
Dr. Mahipal Singh Rawat, the principal of MJCET, presided over the event and congratulated students on their accomplishments. He stressed the importance of innovation and research in the field of computer science and engineering.
The project exhibition featured eighty projects, including cloud-based and AI-powered chatbots, IoT-based solutions, and marketing and management projects. Students demonstrated their ideas, explaining the technical aspects and potential applications to judges from both industry and academia. The best projects were awarded cash prizes, and academic awards were given to the top-performing students. The well-attended event saw the participation of 650 professionals, teachers, and students. All the constituent college principals and the Director were also present at the event.
Mechanical Engineering Department MoU and MoA Signing Ceremony
On the same day, the Mechanical Engineering Department of MJCET organized a program for the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), along with the Annual Student Chapters celebration, in Block-4 Seminar Hall.
The event’s chief guest was Mr. Mohd. Abdul Rahman, CEO of Sahara Industries, and the guest of honor was Mr. Mohd. Altaf Hussain, Managing Partner of Advance Tooling Systems, Hyderabad. Two MoUs were signed between these companies and the Mechanical Engineering Department, represented by the Head of the Department, Prof. Mohd. Viquar Mohiuddin. Additionally, a MoA was signed with Mr. M. Ramchandra Reddy, Dy. CME (Retd.) of T.S.R.T.C., for project consultancy work on a Glass Crusher Unit.
Senior executive members of SAE, EWB, Club Optimus, and IEOM chapters were felicitated for their activities and achievements in the academic year 2023-24. The new cabinet for the academic year 2024-25 was also announced.
Dr. Ishrat Meera Mirzana, Associate Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, coordinated the program. Dr. Mahipal Singh Rawat, Principal of MJCET, graced the event with his presence and inspired the students with his encouraging words. Faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students of the department attended the occasion with great enthusiasm.
