
Hyderabad, July 25: Telangana opposition leader and BRS Chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) responded to the budget introduced by the Congress government, expressing his concerns and criticism at the assembly media point.
Following the presentation of the Telangana budget by Finance Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka in the Assembly today, BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) voiced his dissatisfaction with the financial plan, calling it “far from reality.” After the assembly session was adjourned, KCR addressed the media, highlighting his view that the budget is lacking in substance and fails to introduce any new initiatives. He accused the government of simply rehashing the previous budget without offering a comprehensive understanding of the state’s economy.
“There is nothing new in this budget,” KCR remarked, insisting that the government needs to thoroughly explain all budget components. He criticized the absence of welfare schemes and claimed the government’s approach is harmful to farmers, accusing the Congress party of acting as an “enemy government.” KCR also pointed out significant gaps in the proposed IT policy and questioned the effectiveness of the agricultural strategy outlined in the budget. He emphasized the lack of proper policy frameworks and compared the budget speech to storytelling rather than presenting a solid fiscal strategy.
