KTR sarcastically remarked, “Teri Anjuman Me Zalim Ajab Ahetemaam Dekha,” highlighting the irony that while the homes of the poor are being demolished, Tirupati Reddy was conveniently allowed to secure a stay order to protect his properties. “Is there one law for the poor and another for the Chief Minister’s family?” KTR questioned.
Hyderabad, September 24, 2024 — BRS working president KT Rama Rao launched a fierce critique against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and his brother A Tirupathi Reddy, accusing them of destroying the lives of the underprivileged through HYDRA operations. KTR condemned the Congress government for its ruthless demolition of homes and businesses of the poor without offering adequate support or time for relocation.
Speaking at a party workers’ meeting in Serilingampally on Tuesday, KTR highlighted the disparity in the treatment of the poor versus the elite. “Under HYDRA, the poor are being thrown onto the streets. Meanwhile, Tirupati Reddy received a notice, allowing him to approach the court and secure a stay order protecting his properties. Is there one law for the poor and another for the Chief Minister’s family?” he questioned.
KTR accused Revanth Reddy’s family of exploiting the State and targeting vulnerable communities. He pointed out that Serilingampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi had previously alleged that Tirupati Reddy was running a “commission shop” in Madhapur, profiting from the state’s resources. Confident about the upcoming political scenario, KTR asserted, “A by-election in Serilingampally is imminent, and the BRS will emerge victorious.”
Challenging Congress’s Policies
KTR did not hold back in challenging the Congress government’s actions, particularly in demolishing structures deemed illegal. He accused the current administration of trying to shift blame for illegal constructions approved by previous Congress governments. “You allowed these constructions, and now you are demolishing them, leaving the poor homeless. Take responsibility for your past actions,” he demanded.
He contrasted the Congress’s “politics of destruction” with the BRS government’s focus on development. KTR listed BRS’s accomplishments, including the construction of double-bedroom houses, flyovers, and sewage treatment plants (STPs). He emphasized that BRS has always worked towards growth, while Congress, during its nine months in power, has prioritized “destruction, subversion, and blackmail.”
While addressing the issue, KTR sarcastically remarked, “Teri Anjuman Me Zalim Ajab Ahetemaam Dekha,” pointing out the irony that while the homes of the poor are being demolished, Tirupati Reddy was conveniently allowed to secure a stay order to protect his properties. “Is there one law for the poor and another for the Chief Minister’s family?” KTR questioned.
Standing with the Poor
Rama Rao reiterated his party’s commitment to standing by the poor, warning that BRS would not allow the homes of underprivileged families to be demolished without resistance. “Our government built homes for the poor; now Congress is tearing them down. We will not stay silent,” he affirmed.
KTR also took aim at the Congress for failing to fulfill its electoral promises, such as the Rythu Bharosa scheme, crop loan waivers, and job creation. “Farmers are protesting because they haven’t received loan waivers. Youth are still waiting for the 2 lakh jobs Rahul Gandhi promised in Ashok Nagar. The only thing Congress has delivered is empty promises,” he said.
In conclusion, KTR reaffirmed BRS’s dedication to the people of Telangana under the leadership of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. He warned that if the Congress government continued its anti-poor policies, BRS would intensify its fight. “Serilingampally will witness a by-election soon, and we are prepared to stand with the people and fight for their rights,” he declared.
