Uttar Pradesh/ Sitapur, August 20, 2023 : In a shocking and tragic turn of events, a Muslim couple fell victim to a brutal attack by their neighbors in Sitapur district, resulting in their untimely demise. The couple, identified as Abbas and Kamrul Nisha, were mercilessly beaten to death with iron rods and sticks.
Authorities swiftly took action, apprehending three individuals believed to be involved in the horrifying incident. Initial investigations suggest a possible link between the couple’s tragic fate and a romantic relationship between their son and the daughter of one of the suspects.
The chilling sequence of events is said to have roots in the past, as a few years ago, Abbas’s son had eloped with a girl from the neighboring household. A legal case ensued, leading to the son’s imprisonment.
Upon his recent release from jail, some members of the neighboring family reportedly hatched a plan to carry out the attack on the couple. Abbas and Kamrul Nisha tragically lost their lives during the assault, while the accused individuals managed to flee the scene.
Sitapur Superintendent of Police Chakresh Mishra shed light on the grim backstory, stating, “According to the villagers, the son of the deceased couple and Shaukat Rampal’s daughter Ruby had an affair. Shaukat had abducted Ruby in the year 2020. At that time, Ruby was a minor and after registering a case, the police sent Shaukat to jail. He again abducted and married Ruby in June.
Police authorities have successfully apprehended the three main suspects, with efforts ongoing to locate and apprehend the remaining two individuals involved in the horrific incident.
