
Veteran Bollywood actor Govinda, known for his unique acting style and memorable performances, has recently shared an audio message with his fans after being injured by his own licensed revolver.
According to media reports, Govinda expressed gratitude to his fans for their prayers and well-wishes, updating them about his health condition. The 60-year-old actor mentioned that the prayers of his fans, parents, and his guru have saved him.
“I was shot, but the bullet has been removed now. I would like to thank the doctors and all of you for your prayers,” said Govinda in his message.
Govinda was accidentally shot in the leg early this morning at around 4:45 AM. He was preparing to board a 6:00 AM flight to Kolkata for a show when the incident occurred.
His manager, Shashi Sinha, explained in an initial statement that Govinda was about to leave for the airport when the licensed revolver fell from the wardrobe, discharging accidentally and hitting him in the leg. Sinha emphasized that the injury was not life-threatening.
Following a minor operation at the hospital, the bullet was successfully removed, and Govinda’s condition is stable. He is currently still in the hospital, accompanied by his daughter, Tina. Doctors have advised that the actor will need to stay under observation for at least two more days.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde personally contacted Govinda to inquire about his health and extended his best wishes for a speedy recovery. As soon as the news spread, a large crowd of family members and fans gathered outside the hospital to show their support for the beloved actor.
