Hyderabad, March 23, 2024 – Chaos ensued among Class X students in Hyderabad as they sat for their Mathematics examination without the necessary graph papers at a center in the city on Saturday.

Students, preparing for their crucial exam at a private school in Khairatabad, found themselves without the mandatory graph papers despite receiving the mathematics question paper bundle and main answer sheets. The oversight became apparent when students requested the essential graph papers to complete their answers.

Initially thrown into confusion, center officials instructed students to utilize the main answer sheet for graphing. However, after the exam, students raised the issue with their parents and concerned higher officials.

According to official sources, the lapse occurred due to a breakdown in communication between center officials and the School Education department. Failure to confirm receipt of all necessary materials before the exam led to the oversight.

Taking a grave view of the situation, the department promptly removed both the chief superintendent and the departmental officer from their examination duties at the center.

In a separate incident, a custodian deployed at a center in Ranga Reddy district left their post to procure additional sheets from another center during the examination. Such a serious breach resulted in the immediate dismissal of the custodian.

Furthermore, one chief superintendent and two departmental officers were relieved of their duties due to negligence.

In total, six officers faced removal from exam duties on Saturday.

Despite the administrative lapses, no malpractice cases were reported during the examination. Out of 4,95,293 regular students registered, 4,93,652 were present for the exam. Similarly, 5,301 out of 6,069 private students attended their allotted exams without incident.
