Siddaramaiah Challenges KCR, Invites Him to Witness Karnataka’s Welfare Measures

0

In response to Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president KTR’s claims that the Karnataka government has failed to fulfill poll guarantees, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has rejected the allegations. He invited Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) to visit Karnataka and witness the welfare initiatives instead of making wild allegations.

During a presentation for ‘Trailblazer Telangana,’ KTR claimed that Telangana has flourished under the leadership of KCR. He asserted that the Telangana government provides 24-hour electricity supply to farmers, challenging whether people want electricity or Congress.

Siddaramaiah addressed the allegations, stating, “In newspapers, I saw that some say that the Congress government in Karnataka has not implemented the five guarantees. It has been said by the Telangana CM, his son, and other leaders from the BJP. It is not true.”

He clarified that the Karnataka government took swift action to implement the five guarantees, and the orders were issued on the same day as the decision in the first cabinet meeting. The first guarantee, the Shakti Yojana, was implemented on June 11, benefitting millions of women who can now travel for free on government buses.

Siddaramaiah highlighted the challenges faced during the crisis situation, including FCI’s denial of rice supply. To address this, the Karnataka government transferred money to 4 crore beneficiaries instead of rice through direct benefit transfer (DBT), ensuring financial assistance during the crisis.

The Chief Minister also mentioned the success of the Gruha Jyothi scheme, which started in July, providing free electricity consumption and an additional 10% for each household. Under the Cruha Lakshmi scheme, 1 crore and 14 lakh beneficiaries receive a monthly sum of 2000 rupees. Siddaramaiah concluded by extending an invitation to KCR to witness Karnataka’s welfare measures firsthand.

KTR Questions Rahul Gandhi’s Professional Background, Alleges Joblessness

0

In a prelude to the Telangana assembly elections, BRS leader KT Rama Rao (KTR) raised questions about Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s professional career, asserting that Gandhi had never appeared for any entrance exams and was “jobless” since losing his job in 2014. KTR, taking a sharp jibe at the Congress stalwart, questioned whether Gandhi had ever undergone an entrance exam or worked in the private sector.

Referring to the BJP’s victory in the 2014 general elections, KTR highlighted that Gandhi and his party lost their jobs in 2014. He emphasized his own experience, mentioning that he had written several entrance exams and worked in various companies before entering politics.

KTR also accused the Congress of disrespecting the late Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao, asserting that Priyanka Gandhi lacked information on the history of injustice meted out to him. He demanded an apology from Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi to the PV family for the alleged humiliation.

Responding to these allegations, Rahul Gandhi, during a rally in Telangana’s Nizamabad, accused KTR’s family of corruption. He claimed that the ministries generating the most revenue, including land, liquor, and sand, were under the control of the KCR family. Rahul Gandhi contended that if there was no corruption, these ministries would not be dominated by KCR’s family, emphasizing the need for accountability. The exchange underscores the intensifying political rhetoric in the lead-up to the Telangana assembly elections.

With less than four days remaining for campaigning in Telangana ahead of the Assembly elections scheduled for November 30, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge took a swipe at the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), accusing Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of failing to fulfill promises.

Addressing two election rallies in the southern state, Kharge criticized KCR’s unfulfilled commitment to transform Hyderabad into Istanbul. In a post on social media platform X, Kharge asserted, “KCR promised to convert Hyderabad into Istanbul, but he shattered the dreams and aspirations of its people, while the Congress made Hyderabad an IT Hub.”

Kharge further accused the BRS, BJP, and AIMIM of contributing to delays in the construction of the Metro in Hyderabad. He contrasted the Congress’s record of implementing the first phase of Hyderabad Metro with what he described as ten years of misrule under KCR, resulting in poor infrastructure conditions, including bad roads, potholes, waterlogging, and flooding in the city.

Highlighting the Congress’s contributions during its rule, Kharge pointed to the construction of the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and the longest elevated road, the P. V. Narasimha Rao Expressway. He emphasized the Congress’s commitment to restoring the lost glory of Hyderabad.

As the state heads to the polls, the Congress has unveiled several guarantees for the people of Telangana, aiming to address various concerns and improve the overall well-being of the citizens in the run-up to the elections for the 119-member state Assembly.

Rahul Gandhi Vows to “Puncture” BJP’s Tyres in Delhi after Telangana Feat

0

In a series of rallies in Telangana, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi asserted that his party successfully deflated the BJP’s prospects in the state and vowed to replicate the feat in Delhi. Characterizing the upcoming election as a clash between ‘Dorala Sarkar’ (feudal government) and ‘Prajala Sarkar’ (people’s government), Gandhi criticized BRS chief Chandrasekhar Rao for allegedly dashing the dreams of a pro-poor and farmer-friendly government.

While addressing the crowd, Rahul Gandhi reminded KCR of the Congress party’s contributions, including building the schools and universities where he studied, the construction of the airport, and the development of Hyderabad into a major IT hub. He credited the Congress for the formation of Telangana and accused KCR’s family of holding all “moneymaking portfolios.”

Taking aim at specific projects, Gandhi accused Rao of looting Rs one lakh crore from the Kaleswaram irrigation project and alleged corruption in the implementation of schemes like Dalit Bandhu. He claimed that the BRS government diverted funds from the ST and SC sub plans.

Rahul Gandhi emphasized the need for change, promising a “Prajala Sarkar” in contrast to the current “Dola Sarkar.” He outlined the Congress party’s “six guarantees,” including benefits for women under Mahalakshmi, such as monthly pensions, free bus travel, and subsidized LPG cylinders.

Mocking the alleged alliance between BJP and BRS, Gandhi claimed that the Congress party had “removed gas” from BJP leaders and successfully punctured all four tyres of the saffron vehicle in Telangana. He ridiculed BRS’s aspirations to inflate their tyres, stating that the Congress has permanently damaged BJP’s prospects.

Looking ahead, Rahul Gandhi declared the intention to go to Delhi and puncture all four tyres of Modi’s vehicle. He accused BRS and BJP of supporting each other and stressed the importance of defeating BRS in Telangana before taking on Narendra Modi in Delhi. Allegations were made that KCR desires Modi’s continued power in Delhi, while Modi supposedly wants BRS to remain chief in Telangana.
