BRS President and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao Accuses Congress of Obstructing Rythu Bandhu Funds

0

Hyderabad : In a heated address at a Praja Ashirvada Sabha in Shadnagar on Monday, BRS President and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao accused the Congress of deliberately hindering the timely disbursement of Rythu Bandhu financial assistance to farmers in Telangana, just ahead of the Assembly elections. Rao alleged that Congress leaders were resorting to desperate measures to secure votes, even if it meant causing distress to farmers during the crucial Yasangi season.

Rao disclosed that he had directed officials to commence the distribution of Rythu Bandhu funds for the Yasangi season before the elections. However, the Telangana Congress promptly filed a complaint with the Election Commission of India (ECI) to halt the process. Despite the complaint, the ECI initially granted permission for the State government to deposit the funds into the bank accounts of farmers for just one day.

Expressing his dismay, the Chief Minister revealed that TPCC vice-president G Niranjan filed another complaint with the ECI, leading to the Commission withdrawing its orders permitting the disbursement of Rythu Bandhu funds. Rao pointed out the irony that many Congress leaders and activists themselves benefited from the Rythu Bandhu scheme. He questioned the ethics of supporting a party that, in his view, attempted to take away crucial financial support from farmers just before the harvest.

Chandrashekhar Rao called on Congress activists to reflect on the actions of their leaders. He emphasized that the Congress, in addition to obstructing Rythu Bandhu, was proposing a new provision to extend the scheme to tenant farmers rather than the actual landowners. Rao cautioned that such a move could potentially spark unnecessary legal disputes over land ownership between landowners and tenant farmers.

According to his projections, the remaining seats will be claimed by the Congress party.

Adding a dynamic twist to his announcement, Revanth Reddy, in a video message, invited media persons to witness the unfolding political drama. He urged, “Watch the video, and record my words. EC Withdraws Rythu Bandhu Disbursement Amid Model Code Violation

In a significant move, the Election Commission (EC) has withdrawn the authorization granted to the Telangana government for the disbursement of financial assistance to farmers under the Rythu Bandhu Scheme. The decision, announced in an official statement on Monday, comes in response to a state minister’s violation of the model code by publicly disclosing the disbursement details.

Earlier, the poll panel had given approval to the state government to proceed with the rabi instalment distribution during the model code of conduct period, subject to certain conditions. One of these conditions explicitly stated that the state should refrain from publicizing the disbursements during the election code period.

The EC, in its statement, declared, “There shall be no disbursement under the Scheme till the Model Code of Conduct in the State of Telangana ceases to apply in all its forms.”

The Commission expressed dissatisfaction with T Harish Rao, Minister of Finance and Health and Family Welfare, Govt of Telangana, for not only violating the provisions of the model code of conduct but also disregarding the specified conditions by publicizing the release under the scheme. The EC’s letter to the state chief electoral officer (CEO) highlighted the minister’s actions as disruptive to the level playing field in the ongoing election process.

“Former AIMIM Leader Khaja Bilal Rejoins Congress in Presence of Rajya Sabha MP Imran Pratapgarhi”

Hyderabad: In a significant turn of events, former AIMIM leader and corporator Khaja Bilal, who recently resigned from the party, officially rejoined the Congress on Sunday, November 26. The reunion took place in the presence of Rajya Sabha MP Imran Pratapgarhi.

Khaja Bilal had tendered his resignation from AIMIM a fortnight ago, citing dissatisfaction with the party’s decisions. In a video statement, he revealed, “I had demanded the AIMIM ticket from Goshamahal assembly constituency, but AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi didn’t give it.” Bilal expressed disappointment that AIMIM chose not to contest from Goshamahal, an area with 80,000 Muslim voters, raising suspicions of a deliberate decision.

Accusing Asaduddin Owaisi of not fielding a candidate in Goshamahal in a planned manner, Khaja Bilal voiced his grievances against the AIMIM president. This development follows a trend, as two former corporators, Khaja Bilal and Mohd Ghouse, had previously joined the Congress after leaving AIMIM. However, they later returned to AIMIM, marking a dynamic shift in local politics.

“Rahul Gandhi Alleges Modi’s Support for KCR’s Continued Power in Telangana”

0

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, addressing an election rally at Andole in Sangareddy district, accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of wanting Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) to remain in power in Telangana. He alleged that KCR continues to support Modi at the Centre, reinforcing his claim of a partnership between Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Highlighting the Congress party’s goals, Rahul stated that their first aim is to defeat KCR in Telangana and then defeat Modi at the Centre. He accused BJP, BRS, and MIM of forming an alliance, asserting that Congress is fighting against all three. Rahul claimed that BRS supported the Modi government on key issues such as GST, demonetization, and farm bills.

During the rally, Rahul Gandhi targeted KCR, stating that despite his daily battles with BJP, there are no cases against him from ED, CBI, or IT, while KCR faces no such legal challenges. He also criticized MIM, alleging that the party fields candidates to assist BJP wherever Congress is in contention.

Referring to his meeting with unemployed youth in Hyderabad, Rahul Gandhi spoke about the alleged paper leaks in TSPSC exams, blaming the KCR government for destroying the future of aspirants.

Describing the November 30 Assembly election as a battle between ‘Dorala sarkar’ and ‘prajala sarkar’ (corrupt government vs. people’s government), Rahul promised that if Congress is voted to power, it will establish governance for the people. He labeled the KCR government as the most corrupt in the country and assured the people that the money allegedly looted by KCR and his family will be returned through the implementation of six guarantees by the Congress.

Amit Shah Targets KCR’s Government Ahead of Telangana Assembly Elections

0

Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in Telangana during a public meeting, stating that the upcoming Assembly elections will play a crucial role in shaping the state’s future. Accusing Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) and his ministers of rampant corruption during their decade-long rule, Shah posed questions to the crowd regarding unfulfilled promises.

Addressing the gathering, Shah questioned whether KCR delivered on pledges such as constructing a 100-bed hospital, generating employment opportunities for unemployed youth, and establishing a degree college. The Union Home Minister emphasized the alleged failure of the incumbent government to fulfill its commitments.

Shah sought the crowd’s opinion on removing KCR from power and warned against voting for the Congress, claiming that their elected MLAs would eventually align with the BRS. Accusing a pre-poll understanding between the BRS and Congress, Shah asserted that the BRS had made a deal with the Congress, suggesting a plan to allow KCR to return as chief minister with Congress support, in exchange for supporting Rahul Gandhi as the country’s Prime Minister.

The counting of votes for the Telangana Assembly elections is scheduled for December 3. Shah continued his critique, alleging that KCR’s government had accomplished nothing for the state and its people during his tenure.

The upcoming elections will witness a three-cornered contest between the ruling BRS, seeking a third consecutive term, the Congress, and a resurgent BJP. In the 2018 Assembly elections, the BRS, formerly known as Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), secured 88 of the 119 seats, capturing 47.4% of the total vote share.
