Hyderabad, November 25: The annual ceremony for Quran memorization and Bukhari studies, along with the distribution of certificates and awards, was organized by Jamia Anwar-ul-Huda in Nadee Moosa Guda, Kishan Bagh, on Sunday. Presided over by the institution’s rector, Maulana Mir Qutbuddin Ali Chishti, the event brought together prominent scholars and intellectuals who addressed the gathering.
The completion of Quran memorization was conducted by Ameer Jamaat-e-Shariat, Maulana Shah Muhammad Jamal-ur-Rehman, while the Bukhari studies segment was led by Maulana Muhammad Rizwanuddin Maroofi, Sheikh-ul-Hadith of Jamia Islamia Ishaatul Uloom, Akalkuwa, Maharashtra.
Distinguished Guests and Institutional Legacy
The ceremony witnessed the presence of eminent guests, including Hafiz Pir Khaleeq Ahmed Sabir, General Secretary of Jamiat Ulama Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, under the guidance of Maulana Syed Naseeruddin Ali Chishti. Delivering the welcome address, Syed Nooruddin Ali Chishti outlined the history of Jamia Anwar-ul-Huda, established in 1974 by Maulana Mir Qutbuddin Ali Chishti, and highlighted its growth into a prominent Islamic educational institution.

Currently, 149 male students and 86 female students are enrolled at the Jamia. The contributions of Maulana Qutbuddin’s family members, including Hafiz Syed Naseeruddin Ali Chishti, Maulana Syed Nizamuddin Chishti, Maulana Syed Nooruddin Ali Chishti, and Mufti Merajuddin Ali Abrar, were also lauded.
Inspiring Addresses
The program featured recitations and praises of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by Maulana Mufti Qasmi Ali and Maulvi Aziz Masoom, followed by an inaugural speech by Maulana Mushtaq, who emphasized the importance of Islamic greetings (Salam) and dining etiquette.
Maulana Mufti Alamgir Haider encouraged students to value knowledge and strive for societal reform, while Maulana Shah Jamal-ur-Rehman urged the audience to incorporate daily Quran reading and integrate its teachings into their lives.
During the Bukhari studies session, Maulana Rizwan Maroofi inspired students to develop love and devotion to Allah, emphasizing the transformative power of compassion and sincerity. He also urged female students to focus on educating women in religious teachings.
Concluding Remarks
The event was attended by scholars including Maulana Mahmood-ur-Rehman Mazahiri, Maulana Aqil Qasmi, Maulana Zafar Iqbal Qasmi, and Hafiz Syed Balighuddin Ali. The program was anchored by Mufti Merajuddin Ali Abrar, with a vote of thanks delivered by Maulana Syed Nizamuddin Chishti.
