In a bid to clarify their recent meetings with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, the BRS MLAs, including Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, V Sunita Lakshma Reddy, Gudem Mahipal Reddy, and Manik Rao, held a press conference at Telangana Bhavan on Wednesday. Addressing the media, they vehemently denied any political motives and expressed their intention to meet the chief minister and other ministers multiple times.
Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, a BRS MLA, asserted that the meetings were focused on addressing various issues and stated, “It’s a small issue, and our party has total confidence in us.” He questioned whether Revanth Reddy was the Chief Minister of the state or the Congress party and emphasized the need to resolve problems faced by the constituency.
Prabhakar Reddy highlighted his efforts to meet Union Railway Minister, roads, and highways minister, as well as the Prime Minister multiple times, emphasizing that their interactions were for the welfare of the people. He questioned the need to associate their activities with the Congress party and clarified the absence of MLAs’ names in official programs.
MLA Sunita Lakshma Reddy defended their right to discuss constituency issues with the chief minister, adding that even CM Revanth Reddy had met Prime Minister Modi. She warned of defamation cases if facts were distorted and stressed protocol issues. Sunita Reddy expressed discipline in the party and the need to avoid spreading rumors.
Gudem Mahipal Reddy, another BRS MLA, affirmed their willingness to meet Revanth Reddy multiple times, asserting their commitment to the BRS. MLA Manik Rao also addressed the media, emphasizing the need to put an end to speculations and rumors. The press conference aimed to clarify the nature of their meetings and dispel any misconceptions about their political motives.
