Hyderabad, December 4, 2024: The United Muslim Forum, led by Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, held an important meeting to discuss the challenges facing the Muslim community in today’s socio-political landscape. During the session, the forum called for the Supreme Court’s intervention to safeguard constitutional values and protect religious places from ongoing communal provocations.

The meeting saw the participation of notable religious and social leaders, including Maulana Syed Shah Ali Akbar Nizamuddin Sabri, Maulana Syed Hasan Ibrahim Husaini, and others. Key discussions centered on the recent attacks on Ajmer Dargah, Delhi’s Jama Masjid, and other mosques and shrines targeted by communal groups.

The forum condemned these acts of violence and urged the judiciary to enforce the Places of Worship Act nationwide to ensure religious harmony. Additionally, they raised concerns about the plight of Muslim residents in Asifabad district, where communal violence has resulted in property damage and livelihood disruptions.

The forum proposed legal aid for victims, social reforms to address unnecessary customs, and greater unity within the Muslim community to counter these challenges.

The meeting concluded with prayers and a vote of thanks by the forum’s General Secretary, Maulana Syed Minhajuddin Ahmed, reiterating the commitment to promoting peace and protecting constitutional values.
