Delhi, May 26 — A devastating fire at the Baby Care New Born Hospital in east Delhi’s Vivek Vihar resulted in the tragic deaths of seven newborns on Saturday night. The blaze broke out late at night, prompting an immediate response from emergency services. Sixteen fire tenders were dispatched to the scene, allowing rescuers to save 12 infants, who were quickly transferred to another hospital.

The Fire Service Control Room received the emergency call at approximately 11:32 PM. Firefighters battled the blaze, which had spread to two buildings — the hospital and two floors of an adjacent residential building. The prompt action of the fire service helped prevent further loss of life.

This incident follows another horrific fire just a day earlier at the TRP Game Zone in Rajkot, Gujarat, which claimed 33 lives, including nine children under the age of 16.
