Concerns Over Lack of Clarity in Category-Wise Reservations
Hyderabad: In a significant move to bolster the healthcare workforce, the Medical and Health Services Recruitment Board has officially notified the recruitment of 633 Pharmacist Grade 2 positions across various departments of the Telangana Health Department. The announcement was made on Tuesday, September 24.
The breakdown of vacancies reveals that 446 positions are available under the Director of Public Health and Family Welfare, while 185 vacancies are allocated to the Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad. Additionally, there are 2 openings at the MNJ Institute of Oncology and Regional Cancer Centre.
Interested candidates can submit their online applications starting October 5, with the final date for submissions set for October 21 at 5 PM. Applicants will also have the opportunity to edit their applications from 10:30 AM on October 23 until 5 PM on October 24.
The recruitment exam will take the form of a computer-based test, scheduled for November 30. Successful candidates will be offered a pay scale ranging from Rs 31,040 to Rs 92,050.
However, the announcement has drawn criticism from BRS leader RS Praveen Kumar, who highlighted the lack of clarity regarding category-wise reservations in the notification. Despite the inclusion of a zone-wise breakdown of vacancies in Annexure-I, the absence of detailed reservation information has raised concerns among prospective applicants.
