“Telangana’s Official Calendar Confirms Optional Holiday Status; Reports of General Holiday Incorrect”
Hyderabad :- The Telangana government has announced February 8 as an optional holiday to mark the occasion of Shab-e-Meraj. While several news outlets reported that February 8 would be a general holiday, some also mentioned that educational institutions would remain closed, sparking curiosity among the public. However, Telangana’s official calendar clearly states that February 8, 2024, will be an optional holiday.
Telangana’s official calendar also designates February 14 as Sri Panchami and February 26 as Shab-e-Barat, both marked as optional holidays.
Looking ahead to the following month, Telangana residents can anticipate three general holidays: Maha Shivaratri on March 8, Holi on March 25, and Good Friday on March 29. Additionally, March 31 has been declared as an optional holiday in observance of Shahadat HZT Ali (R.A.).
