Four-day workshop equips students with advanced skills; photo gallery and video highlights included.
Hyderabad, November 21, 2024: The four-day certificate course on Clinical Research, Data Management (CDM), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Clinical Trials, organized by Sultan-ul-Uloom College of Pharmacy in collaboration with Clinosol Research, concluded successfully today at the Ghulam Ahmed Hall, SUES Green Campus. Held from November 18 to 21, the workshop equipped 118 students and teaching staff with advanced knowledge and practical skills essential for excelling in the field of clinical research.
The program featured comprehensive sessions delivered by leading industry experts such as Mujeebuddin Shaikh, Founder of Clinosol Research, Mitesh Reddy, Director of Clinion, and Sridivya, CEO of Safevig. Key topics included Clinical Research and Good Clinical Practices (GCP), Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) in Clinical Data Management, and Pharmacovigilance. Participants gained practical exposure through hands-on training in creating clinical trial protocols, writing logic for Edit Check Specifications, and performing causality assessments in pharmacovigilance cases.
A particularly impactful session on Edit Check Specifications was led by Mujeebuddin Shaikh, where students engaged in real-world scenarios, showcasing active participation in writing logic and queries. Edwin Satish, Associate Director, followed with a session on the Role of AI and ML in CDM. Post-lunch, Sridivya conducted a session focusing on the Role of AI in Pharmacovigilance, which included practical training on causality assessment. These sessions left participants enriched and inspired.
Beyond technical training, the workshop also emphasized professional development. Mr. Mujeebuddin Shaikh guided students in creating effective LinkedIn profiles and expanding their professional networks, while a session on resume writing highlighted techniques for tailoring resumes to specific career paths and incorporating relevant certifications.
The valedictory event was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Devanand Kolothodi, Regional CEO, Aster DM Healthcare Telangana & Andhra Pradesh Cluster. In her speech, Dr. Anupama Koneru, Principal of Sultan-ul-Uloom College of Pharmacy, lauded the participants’ enthusiasm and highlighted the importance of such workshops in bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements. Mr. Devanand commended the initiative, urging students to leverage such opportunities to build their careers.
The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony, where Dr. Anupama Koneru presented tokens of appreciation to Mr. Devanand and Mr. Mujeebuddin Shaikh for their contributions. Certificates were awarded to all participants, marking the successful conclusion of a program that inspired and empowered students to excel in clinical research and data management.
