Hyderabad, Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology (MJCET), located in the scenic Banjara Hills of Hyderabad, celebrated its much-anticipated “Commencement Day 2023” with great zeal and enthusiasm. The event unfolded in the majestic Ghulam Ahmed Hall, set within the Sultan Ul Uloom Education Society (SUES) campus, and was dedicated to the freshly enrolled engineering students at MJCET.

Distinguished Chief Guest, Padma Shri Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy, the Founder Chairman and Board Member of Cyient, graced the occasion with his presence. The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Prof. Mahipal Singh Rawat, the Principal of MJCET. Prof. Rawat presented an insightful academic report highlighting the students’ exceptional achievements, impressive placement records, and the remarkable research and development projects undertaken by both faculty and students of MJCET. He emphasized the institution’s unwavering commitment to providing a cutting-edge infrastructure and a conducive environment for research, innovation, incubation, and advanced technology training.

Mr. Zafar Javeed, the Honorary Secretary of Sultan Ul Uloom Education Society, extended his warm greetings to the students and their parents, underscoring the institution’s unwavering focus on academic excellence. He attributed this excellence to the state-of-the-art infrastructure, experienced faculty members, and a strong emphasis on research and development. Mr. Zafar Javeed proudly shared that MJCET boasts a cadre of 70 PhD faculty members, and the SUES Campus as a whole boasts an impressive roster of over 100 PhD faculty members.

Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy, in his role as Chief Guest, delivered a motivating Commencement Day Address. He congratulated both the students and their parents for making the wise choice of selecting this prestigious engineering college in the state of Telangana. Dr. Reddy commended the visionary leadership of Sultan Ul Uloom Education Society for establishing an institution of such repute 43 years ago. He lauded the remarkable progress of the institute, which now houses over 4,000 students, employs 200+ faculty and staff members, and boasts world-class infrastructure. Dr. Reddy expressed his admiration for SUES’s efforts in promoting quality education and research through faculty incentives and awards. He also highlighted the establishment of the SU Knowledge Hub at SUES Campus, emphasizing that entrepreneurship is the key to the nation’s future and encouraging students to leverage this facility.

Dr. Reddy advised the students to express their heartfelt gratitude to their parents for nurturing them and providing them the opportunity to enroll in this esteemed institution. He stressed the pivotal role played by Computer Systems, Communication Technologies, Sensors, and Artificial Intelligence in shaping the modern technological landscape. Dr. Reddy urged students to transcend disciplinary boundaries, concentrate on their studies, compete with themselves, harness the available technological advancements to nurture their careers, dream big, and strive for excellence. He underlined the importance of these newly admitted students as the future of both the state and the nation, encouraging them to stay abreast of technological developments, collaborate, challenge the status quo, and remain curious in exploring new opportunities.

The event reached its zenith as Mr. Mohammed Waliullah, Chairman of Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society, presented Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy with a memento as a token of gratitude. Eminent figures including Dr. Mir Akbar Ali Khan, Treasurer; Mr. Masood Abdul Khader, Joint Secretary, Amer Javeed, Justice Ibrahim Ali Siddiqui, board members of Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society graced the event with their distinguished presence.
