Hyderabad :-In a tragic turn of events, Mohd Sohail, a prominent bodybuilding champion and winner of the Mr. Telangana title, passed away in a road accident near Siddipet. The 23-year-old, along with his friend Mohd Khadir, was traveling from Siddipet to Mirudoddi on a two-wheeler on June 29.
The accident occurred when Sohail lost control of the bike and collided with an oncoming auto-rickshaw carrying scrap near Mirudoddi. Both men sustained severe injuries and were rushed to a private hospital in Hyderabad. Despite medical efforts, Sohail succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment on Wednesday.
Sohail’s short but illustrious career was marked by numerous accolades, including district, state, and South India-level bodybuilding championships. His friend Afridi mourned the loss, highlighting Sohail’s potential and the void his passing leaves in the bodybuilding community.
The Mirudoddi police have registered a case, citing over-speeding as the cause of the accident.
