Hyderabad: July 11, 2024 :- The Free Legal Aid Centre, under the auspices of Sultan-ul-Uloom College of Law, organized a Legal Awareness Camp in Ahmed Nagar, Masab Tank. The event saw the participation of several esteemed guests and highlighted the importance of legal aid for the underprivileged.
Mr. Zafar Javeed, Honorary Secretary of Sultan-ul-uloom Education Society, served as the Guest of Honour. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Mohammed Majid Hussain, MLA of the Nampally Assembly Constituency. Mr. Sarfaraz Suddique, Corporator of Ahmed Nagar Division, and Mr. Aamer Javeed, Chairman of the Sports Development Committee and a member of the Sultan-ul-uloom Education Society, also graced the event as Guests of Honour.
The camp commenced with a warm welcome by Dr. K.Ch Venkateswari, Principal of Sultan-ul-Uloom College of Law. The Chief Guest, Mr. Mohammed Majid Hussain, praised the establishment of the free legal aid centre, emphasizing its significant role in assisting the poor and needy. He specifically appreciated the efforts of Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society for setting up the Legal Aid Centre in First Lancer, noting that it would greatly benefit the local community.
Mr. Zafar Javeed, in his address, underscored the society’s commitment to social responsibility. He highlighted the pivotal role of legal aid in empowering marginalized communities and ensuring justice for all. Javeed emphasized, “Our aim is to bridge the gap between the legal system and those who are unable to access it due to financial constraints. The Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society is dedicated to expanding this initiative, and if the need arises, we are prepared to establish additional free legal aid centers. This will ensure that more individuals can receive the support and guidance they need.”
Mr. Aamer Javeed spoke about the society’s interest in expanding the initiative to open new free legal aid centers, reiterating the organization’s dedication to aiding those in need. Additionally, Mr. Sarfaraz Suddique highlighted the crucial need for and importance of free legal aid, reflecting on how such initiatives can significantly impact the community.
The camp was a significant step towards providing legal support and raising awareness among the residents of Ahmed Nagar, and it exemplified the ongoing efforts of Sultan-ul-Uloom College of Law and its associated bodies to serve the community.
