MJCET Pioneers AI Education with South India’s First AI Bootcamp for First-Year Students

Empowering Young Innovators with Cutting-Edge AI Skills and Industry-Recognized Certifications

Hyderabad, March 19, 2025 – The Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence Department of Muffakham Jah College of Engineering & Technology (MJCET) successfully conducted a three-day AI Bootcamp, titled “Hands-On Learning for Future Engineers,” from March 17 to 19, 2025. The event attracted enthusiastic participation from students across multiple engineering disciplines.

The Bootcamp was inaugurated by Prof. Uma N. Dulhare, Head of the CS&AI Department and Bootcamp Convener, who welcomed the attendees and provided an overview of the program. She highlighted that students would engage in four industry-recognized certifications, offering them a valuable learning experience.

Mr. Uma Desu, Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer at GenAIPioneer, graced the event as the Chief Guest. In his keynote address, he emphasized the growing impact of Generative AI (GenAI), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Neural Networks, and t-SNE models in AI-driven industries. He also discussed the rapid advancements in quantum computing and predicted that 2026 would mark a significant milestone in the global recognition of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). Applauding MJCET’s initiative, he commended the institution for being the first in South India to organize such an event for first-year B.E. students, setting a benchmark for others to follow.

Following the keynote, Dr. Mahipal Singh Rawat, Principal of MJCET, along with Dr. Syed Ferhatullah Hussainy, Professor & Dean of Student Affairs, and Dr. Mohd. Hamraj, Dean of Academics, addressed the students. They encouraged participants to stay ahead in the evolving field of AI.

Mr. Zafar Javeed, Honorary Secretary, and Mr. Mohammed Waliullah, Chairman of the Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society, extended their congratulations to the faculty and urged students to keep themselves updated with emerging technologies.

The inaugural session concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Rubeena Rab, who expressed gratitude to the distinguished guests, faculty, and students for their contributions in making the event a grand success.
