Anticipating the looming Lok Sabha elections, Telangana Congress has declared Challa Vamshi Chand Reddy as its candidate for the Mahabubnagar parliamentary constituency.
During a ceremony in Kosgi of Narayanpet, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy disclosed this announcement on Wednesday. He emphasized that BRS chief KCR should only be welcomed in Mahabubnagar after offering an apology to the populace. Reddy criticized the KCR regime, alleging that despite an expenditure of Rs 27,000 crore, the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation project has failed to irrigate a single acre of agricultural land in the district.
Revanth Reddy urged party members to ensure Congress’ victory in all 14 Lok Sabha constituencies in the upcoming elections. Additionally, he stated that the government would commence distribution of subsidized gas cylinders to beneficiaries starting next week.
Former MLA from Kalwakurthy and Congress leader Challa Vamshi Chand Reddy faced defeat by the TRS (now BRS) candidate Manne Srinivas Reddy in the 2019 general elections. In that election, BJP candidate DK Aruna secured the second position, with Vamshi Chand finishing third.
