Hyderabad, December 22: The poetry collection Dhuaan Alfaaz Ka by renowned writer and poet Professor Rahmat Yusufzai was launched at Media Plus, Gunfoundry, Hyderabad, under the banner of Bazm-e-Yaran-e-Rahmat. The event celebrated Professor Yusufzai’s literary journey and contributions to Urdu poetry.
Presided over by Ejaz Ubaid, the ceremony featured a distinguished panel of guests, including Shahid Husain Zubairi, Mus’haf Iqbal Tausifi, Dr. Khalid Qadri, and Professor Naseemuddin Farees. The book was officially released by Dr. Udhwesh Rani Bawa, with Dr. Rauf Khair hosting the event and introducing the author and guests.
Mus’haf Iqbal Tausifi praised Professor Yusufzai, emphasizing the depth and authenticity in his poetry. He remarked that Yusufzai’s works reflect a keen observation of life’s bitter realities, presented with eloquence and vibrancy. Dr. Udhwesh Rani Bawa highlighted Yusufzai’s longstanding contributions to Urdu literature, noting that his poetry captures life’s intricacies with a unique poetic vision.
Professor Naseemuddin Farees, a noted critic, delved into the thematic richness of Yusufzai’s works, while Suhail Yusufzai, the poet’s son, shared anecdotes about his father’s artistic talents, including his pioneering efforts to integrate Urdu with computers in the 1980s. Suhail also expressed his intent to digitize his father’s poetry to preserve it for future generations.
The event witnessed heartfelt speeches by Ejaz Zubair, Shahid Husain Zubairi, and Dr. Khalid Qadri, all of whom applauded Professor Yusufzai’s literary achievements. In his concluding remarks, Professor Yusufzai expressed gratitude to the audience, sharing that his poetry reflects his observations and experiences.
The gathering attracted poetry enthusiasts from various walks of life, including prominent personalities such as Saadullah Khan Sabeel and Iftikhar Abid, alongside a notable number of women attendees. The launch underscored the enduring legacy of Urdu literature and Professor Yusufzai’s remarkable role in enriching it.
