Hyderabad: In a bold assertion, BRS working president KT Rama Rao accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of conspiring to eradicate the BRS. He declared the BRS’s unwavering commitment to fighting for the people of Telangana, dismissing any fear of Modi or Revanth Reddy.
Addressing BRS members from the Malkajgiri Parliamentary constituency during preparatory meetings for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections at Telangana Bhavan on Sunday, KTR referenced recent statements from BJP national secretary Bandi Sanjay and senior journalist Radhakrishna’s editorial. According to Radhakrishna, during a meeting with Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Modi allegedly expressed full cooperation in eliminating BRS, implying a unity between BJP and Congress in Telangana.
In a robust response to Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, the BRS working president questioned how speaking the truth and urging people not to pay electricity bills could be deemed a destructive mindset. He emphasized that the BRS was only reiterating promises made by Congress leaders during the Assembly elections. KTR pointed out that both Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy had advised people not to pay electricity bills of less than 200 units, promising that Sonia Gandhi would cover the costs after Congress assumed power in Telangana.
KTR humorously suggested that since Sonia Gandhi made the promise, she should be the one paying the bills. He criticized Bhatti Vikramarka, stating that if Pragathi Bhavan was as luxurious as claimed, the Deputy Chief Minister would have exposed it by now. KTR emphasized the importance of dispelling misconceptions among minorities and urged collective efforts for the party’s victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
