Hyderabad Police Commissioner Imposes Strict Guidelines for New Year Celebrations – 2024

Hyderabad :- In a bid to ensure safe and orderly New Year celebrations, Hyderabad Police Commissioner Kothakota Srinivas Reddy has issued a comprehensive set of guidelines for three-star and five-star restaurants, clubs, and bars in the city.

The Commissioner’s order mandates that establishments hosting New Year events must obtain prior police permission, and the festivities are to conclude by 1 A.M. Stringent penalties will be imposed on those violating the prescribed time limits and other regulations set by the police department.

As part of enhanced security measures, restaurant managers are instructed to install CCTV cameras at entry and exit points, with a particular emphasis on vigilant monitoring in parking areas. Prohibitions include the strict disallowance of weapons, issuance of passes beyond venue capacity, and entry of minors into restricted areas.

Drug use is strictly banned at all event locations, with owners failing to comply facing legal fines. Alcohol sales must adhere to the guidelines established by the Excise Department, and event organizers are tasked with arranging alternative transportation options for patrons under the influence.

Motorists caught in drunk-driving tests will face imprisonment of up to six months, coupled with the cancellation of their driving licenses. The Hyderabad Police Commissioner’s proactive measures aim to ensure a secure and enjoyable New Year’s celebration for all residents.
