While on his way to the hill station for a vacation, Shami witnessed a car accident and swiftly took action, ultimately saving a life.

As Shami’s car approached Nainital, he came across a vehicle tumbling down the hill. Without hesitation, he brought his car to a halt, assessed the situation, and, along with his friends, provided prompt assistance to the accident victim. The entire incident was captured on video and shared by Shami on his Instagram account.

Shami, who achieved the distinction of taking the fastest 50 wickets in the ODI World Cup’s 48-year history, was on his way to Nainital for a well-deserved break following his stellar cricket performance. However, the unexpected road accident gave Shami an opportunity to showcase his heroism off the cricket field.

Sharing the video on Instagram, Shami highlighted the fortunate second chance the accident victim received, stating, “He is very lucky that God gave that person a second life. His car fell down the mountain road near Nainital right in front of my car. We got him out safely.”

In the aftermath of the accident, Shami not only ensured the safe extraction of the individuals involved but also provided essential first aid, including the application of a bandage on an injured person’s hand. The video of Shami’s life-saving intervention has gone viral, further solidifying his status as a hero both on and off the cricket pitch.
