Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo, took oath as the 18th Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. The swearing-in ceremony took place in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer and former Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan. This marks Naidu’s second term as CM following the state’s division in 2014.
The event was attended by prominent leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Union Ministers JP Nadda and Bandi Sanjay Kumar. After taking the oath, Naidu embraced PM Modi on stage, symbolizing their alliance.
The Jana Sena Party (JSP) Chief Pawan Kalyan, along with 24 other MLAs from TDP, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and JSP, also took oath as Cabinet Ministers. This newly formed 25-member cabinet consists of:

The TDP will hold 21 seats in the cabinet, Janasena will have three seats, and the BJP will have one seat.
Naidu led the TDP-BJP-Janasena National Democratic Alliance to a significant victory in both the assembly and parliamentary elections. In the 175-member Andhra Pradesh Assembly, the TDP has the majority with 135 MLAs, while its allies, Janasena Party and BJP, have 21 and 8 MLAs respectively. The opposition YSR Congress Party has 11 legislators.
