“Promoting Urdu Literacy: Certificates Awarded to 135 Successful Students”

Hyderabad, Dec 30: The Hoor Foundation India, based in Shaheen Nagar, Hyderabad, organized a ceremony to honor 135 students who successfully passed the Urdu Daani examination. The event was conducted in collaboration with the Urdu Literary Institution and Aabid Ali Khan Literary Trust.
The ceremony was presided over by Professor S.A. Shakur, while M.A. Majid, Senior Journalist and President of the Telangana Urdu Working Journalists Federation, served as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, M.A. Majid highlighted the value of Urdu-medium education, urging society not to perceive it as inferior. He cited former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who began his education in Urdu, as an example of achieving the highest positions through dedication and learning. Majid also emphasized the need to promote Urdu literacy among children.
In his presidential address, Professor S.A. Shakur lauded the Hoor Foundation India and its founder, Syed Azmat Ali Shah, for their efforts in education and welfare. He announced that the foundation would soon become a center for conducting advanced Urdu exams such as Urdu Insha, Urdu Mahir, Urdu Alam, and Urdu Fazil, with a 50% fee waiver for students.
The program began with a Quranic recitation by Syed Shujaat Ali Shah, followed by a Naat by Syed Farasat Ali Shah. The event proceedings were efficiently managed by Syed Azmat Ali Shah, who also facilitated the distribution of certificates.
To honor their contributions, the foundation presented shawls and mementos to the esteemed guests.
