Following the culmination of Pitru Paksha, the TPCC has made the decision to reveal the names of over 60 candidates as part of its election strategy.
This strategic move comes after a high-stakes meeting held by the TPCC’s election committee at the residence of K C Venugopal on Saturday. Moreover, the Central Election Committee of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) is scheduled to convene once again on Tuesday to finalize the remaining candidates for the upcoming elections.

The screening committee chairman, K Muralidharan, highlighted that loyalty and winning potential played pivotal roles in the candidate selection process. 90-Minute Sleep Delay Linked to Heart Disease, Study Finds

If you found this information valuable and believe it’s essential for your friends and family to know about the connection between sleep and heart health, please consider sharing this article with them. Knowledge is a powerful tool for taking control of your well-being, so let’s spread awareness together.

Introduction:
Delaying bedtime by just 90 minutes each night damages cells that line the blood vessels, supporting the hypothesis that poor sleep is linked to heart health, a study among women participants has revealed. A mild chronic sleep deficit may heighten the risk of developing heart disease later in life.

The Impact of Sleep on Heart Health:
Surveys of thousands of people have found that people who report mild but chronic sleep deficits have more heart disease later in life than people who get adequate sleep.

Columbia University’s Research Findings:
A new Columbia University’s study of women, published in the journal Scientific Reports, now shows what’s happening in the body during chronic mild sleep deprivation. After just six weeks of shortened sleep, the study found, the cells that line our blood vessels are flooded by damaging oxidants. And unlike well-rested cells, sleep-restricted cells fail to activate antioxidant responses to clear the destructive molecules. The result: cells that are inflamed and dysfunctional, an early step in the development of cardiovascular disease.

Study Leader’s Insights:
“This is some of the first direct evidence to show that mild chronic sleep deficits cause heart disease,” says study leader Sanja Jelic, director of the Center for Sleep Medicine at Columbia.

Research Methodology:
The researchers screened nearly 1,000 women for the study, enrolling 35 healthy women who normally sleep seven to eight hours each night who could complete the 12-week study. For six weeks the women slept according to their usual routine; for the other six weeks they went to bed 1.5 hours later than usual. Each participant’s sleep was verified with wrist-worn sleep trackers.

Conclusion and Recommendations:
“Many problems could be solved if people sleep at least seven to eight hours per night,” Jelic said. “People who are young and healthy need to know that if they keep getting less sleep than that, they’re aggravating their cardiovascular risk.”

Upcoming Research:
Jelic’s team is now designing a study to see if bedtime variability impacts vascular cells in the same way as chronic, but regular, short sleep.

Heartbreaking Suicide of Pravallika Reveals Relationship Struggles, Police Confirm No Link to TSPSC Group-II Exam Rescheduling

Hyderabad: The heart-wrenching demise of 23-year-old Marri Pravallika, a native of Warangal, has been attributed to personal issues within her relationship, dispelling rumors of her alleged distress over the rescheduled TSPSC Group-II exams.

Authorities confirmed that Pravallika’s decision to end her life was primarily fueled by problems in her relationship with her boyfriend, Shivaram Rathod, rather than academic concerns or exam rescheduling. Despite public speculation and protests in Ashoknagar last night, police investigations have shed light on the true reasons behind her tragic act.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) M Venkateshwarlu, addressing a press conference on Saturday, stated that Pravallika had moved to the city for exam preparations and had not previously attempted the Group-II exams. Venkateshwarlu emphasized that her suicide was unrelated to the recent rescheduling of the exams.

Investigations revealed Pravallika’s relationship with Shivaram Rathod from Mahabubnagar. The couple was in regular contact and had occasional meetings. Disturbingly, Rathod had reportedly committed to marrying another woman, a revelation that deeply affected Pravallika. Their last meeting, observed over breakfast at a hotel in Chikkadpally, seemed to be marked by intense discussions.

“We found WhatsApp chats with Rathod on her phone, corroborating this information,” revealed the DCP. Additionally, a suicide note, a mobile phone, and another letter were recovered from Pravallika’s room. These items will undergo further analysis at the Forensic Science Laboratory. Based on the findings, legal actions, possibly under abetment of suicide, will be initiated against Rathod, stated Venkateshwarlu.

This tragic incident serves as a grim reminder of the complexities of human relationships and the importance of mental health support, particularly during challenging times.

The Commissioner’s Task Force (Central) team in Hyderabad apprehended a hawala operator during a routine vehicle inspection on Saturday. The operation resulted in the seizure of a substantial sum of Rs 18 lakh.

The man in question, identified as Sawai Sharma, also known as Suresh (42), is a resident of Ramkot and hails from Rajasthan. Sharma, during his unlawful operations, charged a commission ranging from 0.5 percent to 0.8 percent per lakh of transferred money. He maintained a veil of secrecy by communicating with his clients via WhatsApp.

The apprehension of Sharma unfolded as the Task Force team intercepted him while he was transporting the aforementioned amount near the Sai Plywood store located at Begum Bazar. Subsequently, he was handed over to the Begum Bazar police station for further legal proceedings. This incident highlights the efforts of law enforcement agencies in curbing illicit financial activities and maintaining law and order in the city.

Hyderabad : In a significant political development, BRS (Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi) working president KT Rama Rao, commonly known as KTR, met with senior politician and former PCC (Pradesh Congress Committee) president, Ponnala Lakshmaiah, who had tendered his resignation from the Congress party just a day earlier. The meeting took place in Hyderabad on Saturday.

Rama Rao extended a warm invitation to Lakshmaiah to join the BRS ranks and later addressed the media, disclosing that the seasoned politician would have discussions with BRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on the following day, Sunday, to explore his future endeavors within the party.

KTR, during the media interaction, expressed his concerns about the treatment that Lakshmaiah had received from the Congress party, labeling it as “humiliating.” He emphasized that Lakshmaiah was no ordinary politician but possessed an illustrious track record spanning over four decades in the political arena. Furthermore, he highlighted Lakshmaiah’s background as an engineer with NASA, underlining his substantial contributions in both governmental roles and party responsibilities, particularly during the tenure of Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao. Lakshmaiah was also recognized as a respected leader within the BC (Backward Class) community.

KTR didn’t mince his words when addressing TPCC (Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee) president A. Revanth Reddy’s remarks concerning Lakshmaiah’s resignation. He criticized Reddy for what he perceived as disrespectful language and stated that while the party could decide on an MLA ticket for a senior leader, it was wholly inappropriate to insult such a veteran figure.

KTR asserted, “This situation arises when an individual, known for their questionable character and involvement in the cash-for-note case, is appointed to lead the party.” He further expressed the BRS’s desire to harness Lakshmaiah’s extensive experience and knowledge, affirming that a meeting with the Chief Minister on Sunday would determine the future course of action for the veteran leader. This development promises to be a significant turning point in the political landscape of Telangana.

Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned and protested against continuous attacks on the civilian population of Gaza by Israel and unequivocally rejected Israel’s demands for forced entry into Gaza, according to official sources within the Saudi Foreign Office.

In an official statement released on Friday, the Saudi Foreign Office declared, “Saudi Arabia once again calls upon the global community to cease all forms of military aggression against civilians, prevent human rights violations, and take immediate action to provide Gaza’s inhabitants with medication and humanitarian supplies.”

The Saudi Foreign Office further emphasized, “Depriving the residents of Gaza of fundamental requirements for dignified living is a violation of international humanitarian law. It will only exacerbate the crisis in Gaza and make it more profound and explosive.”

The statement pointed out, “Saudi Arabia demands an end to the blockade of Gaza and the evacuation of injured civilians from the region. International humanitarian laws, global conventions, and regulations should be upheld.”

The nation also voiced its support for the Arab Peace Initiative and encouraged the United Nations Security Council to take decisive action in promoting peace within the boundaries of the 1967 borders, the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, and East Jerusalem as its capital, all based on a just solution. It’s worth noting that Israel has advised the residents of Gaza to relocate to southern areas within the next 24 hours before they deploy their troops into the region.

However, law enforcement authorities intervened, dispersing the students and subsequently transferring Pravalika’s body to the hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Meanwhile, the last rites of Pravalika have commenced in her hometown of Warangal. The police, in an effort to maintain order, have restricted the participation of political leaders and student unions in the funeral procession. Rahul Gandhi and Congress Leaders React to Student Pravalika’s Suicide in Hyderabad

In response to the tragic suicide of Pravalika, a student in Hyderabad, Telangana, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi expressed his deep sorrow and shock over the incident through his official social media handle. Gandhi criticized the state government, attributing the student’s suicide to the pervasive issue of unemployment in Telangana. He specifically pointed fingers at the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), holding them responsible for the deteriorating situation in the state.

Making a bold promise, Rahul Gandhi stated that if the Congress party assumes power in Telangana, they will introduce a comprehensive jobs calendar and restructure the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) within a month. He further pledged to create 2 lakh government jobs within a year, offering a glimmer of hope to the beleaguered job seekers. Gandhi urged the youth not to lose hope and expressed confidence that the Congress party would emerge victorious, assuring a better future for the state.

Prominent leaders within the Congress party, including Mallikarjuna Kharge, also voiced their condemnation of the student’s suicide and extended heartfelt condolences to Pravalika’s grieving family. They sharply criticized the BRS government for its alleged indifference toward conducting fair and timely exams. This perceived negligence, they argued, has resulted in widespread frustration and anger among thousands of young aspirants in Telangana.

Kharge, echoing Gandhi’s sentiments, expressed firm belief in the determination of Telangana’s youth. He asserted that the younger generation, fueled by their frustration, would unite to remove the allegedly corrupt and ineffective BRS government from power, ushering in a new era of progress and opportunity for the state.
