Hyderabad: The license of Big Basket’s warehouse in Kondapur has been suspended indefinitely due to safety violations. Authorities conducted an inspection of the facility on Thursday, uncovering multiple infractions related to food safety.

Expired products, including chicken masala, chicken sausages, pizza cheese, paneer, ice creams, and almond fudge with expiry dates ranging between October 2023 to April 2024, were discovered on the premises. Additionally, several storage violations were observed, such as an edible oil can leaking and contaminating other food articles on the lower rack.

A subsequent inspection was carried out at the Paradise Food Court in Masab Tank on Friday. While no significant violations were detected, concerns arose regarding the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) rate of water bottles supplied by the business under the ‘Dhaara’ branding. The TDS rate was measured at 73 ppm, prompting authorities to send samples of these bottles to a lab for further analysis.
