The poison of hatred is also spreading in Telangana !!
In a troubling incident pointing to the spread of hatred, the Hyderabad police have taken legal action against multiple individuals, including businessman KP Vishal Goud, who is a relative of Quthbullapur MLA KP Vivekananda from Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).
The accused are alleged to have viciously attacked Sheikh Rehan Fayaz (20), an Amazon delivery agent, on August 5.
The attack reportedly unfolded after the assailants inquired about Rehan’s name and confirmed his Muslim identity, igniting concerns about communal harmony and safety within the region.Rehan Fayaz was assigned to deliver a package in Jeedimetla.
Upon arrival, he communicated with the customer via WhatsApp and was directed to a different location.
At this new location, Rehan was forced to apologize for an apparent delay. Subsequently, he was asked to present his Aadhar card, which tragically escalated into a brutal assault.
The attackers reportedly used cricket bats and stumps, resulting in severe injuries including fractures to Rehan’s hands and legs. Amid the aftermath, Amjadullah Khan, spokesperson for Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT), revealed that the police initially disregarded his complaint on the day of the incident, and Rehan was not promptly taken to a hospital.
Instead, he sought treatment at a private medical facility. Subsequently, with the assistance of MBT, Rehan approached the police once again.
The case was ultimately registered on August 10, as confirmed by Jeedimetla inspector M Pavan, who denied allegations of initial police negligence.
The accused individuals are now facing charges under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including wrongful restraint, voluntarily causing grievous hurt, and criminal intimidation.
This incident sheds light on the pressing issue of growing hatred within Telangana.
