Neighborhoods such as Kukatpally, KPHB, and Moosapet are bearing the brunt of relentless rainfall, while Balanagar, Fatehnagar, and Sanathnagar are not spared from nature’s fury. Thunderstorms wreak havoc in Jeedimetla, Chintal, Shapur, Quthbullapur, Miyapur, Chandanagar, Gachibowli, and Madhapur. Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills witness heavy winds and precipitation, resulting in uprooted trees and billboards.

Telangana:
The adverse weather conditions extend beyond Hyderabad, impacting all districts. In Karimnagar, heavy rains force the cancellation of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s tour. Medak town experiences rainfall, with hailstorms reported in Bejjuru Chinthalamanepalli and Kautala mandals. Warangal and Siddipet districts face cold spells, intense rainfall, and relentless winds, while thunderstorms and lightning strike Mancherial district.

Residents experienced a dramatic shift as rain transformed the landscape, alleviating scorching temperatures but causing traffic jams and waterlogging. Social media is abuzz with videos and images of the rain. Reports of hailstorms emerged, along with complaints about traffic disruptions and power cuts.

An X user tweeted, “Rain pouring down in buckets in Hyderabad. Metro stations are soaked, security scanners covered, and reports of power cuts across the city. Stay safe.”
