Police Earn Praise for Humanity at Tandur Exam Center in Vikarabad
Vikarabad, November 18,2024 : Mothers are often called symbols of compassion, and this was exemplified today by a female police constable at a Group-3 examination center. When a mother, accompanied by her 6-month-old baby, arrived at the exam venue but was denied entry with the infant, Constable Narsamma stepped in to help. She offered to care for the baby, enabling the mother to take the exam without worry.
The incident occurred at the Sindhu Junior College exam center in Tandur, Vikarabad district. Krishna Veni, a resident of Serilingampally, Hyderabad, traveled to the center with her baby to take the Group-3 exam. As per regulations, she was not allowed to bring her child into the examination hall. Distressed, Krishna Veni found solace when Constable Narsamma volunteered to look after her baby. Narsamma assured the mother that her child was in safe hands, allowing her to focus on her exam.
During the examination, Narsamma not only managed her duty at the exam center but also tended to the baby with care, ensuring the child felt no discomfort in the absence of the mother. Other female constables present at the center joined in to entertain and comfort the infant, creating a heartwarming scene of camaraderie and kindness.
Tandur Sub-Collector, who visited the examination center during this time, took note of the incident. He commended Constable Narsamma for her exceptional humanitarian gesture.
Recent Acts of Support by Police During Group-3 Exams
In another instance of exemplary service during the same Group-3 examination, police officers helped candidates who mistakenly arrived at the wrong exam center. The officers used their motorcycle and a police vehicle to ensure the candidate reached the correct venue on time.
