“Hum Dosti ka Hath Badhane Taiyar Hain” : Akbaruddin Owaisi

Hyderabad: In a noteworthy development, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) has offered an olive branch to the Congress government in Telangana. The party, renowned for its advocacy on minority issues, expressed its readiness to collaborate with the ruling Congress, contingent upon concrete measures addressing the grievances of minority communities, particularly Muslims, and ensuring they are not treated as second-grade citizens.

This move arises amid escalating concerns within minority communities regarding their socio-economic and political standing in the state. AIMIM’s gesture towards the Congress government hints at potential shifts in political dynamics and alliances in Telangana.

Led by its president Asaduddin Owaisi, AIMIM has consistently voiced support for minority rights, especially those of Muslims. The party’s outreach to the Congress reflects a strategic maneuver to leverage its political influence and advocate for meaningful reforms benefiting minority groups.

Meanwhile, AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi urged the Telangana government to expedite arrangements for Ramzan in Hyderabad during the Telangana Assembly Budget Session. He emphasized the need for proactive measures to ensure convenience for Muslims during the holy month, calling for a review meeting to sanction maintenance works around mosques and religious structures.

Owaisi also highlighted recent communal incidents in the state and demanded stringent action against perpetrators. He emphasized the need for equal representation of minorities and Muslims in state administration roles and corporations, alongside allocating budgetary provisions for the skill development of Muslim youth in Hyderabad.
