New Delhi: Congress has launched a scathing attack on the Modi government over the NEET and UGC NET exams. The party claimed that paper leaks are continuously putting the future of millions of students at risk. Rahul Gandhi, in a press conference, said that while the Vyapam scam occurred in Madhya Pradesh, Narendra Modi is spreading it across the country.

Following the controversy surrounding the NEET paper leak involving arrested individuals from Bihar and the admission of NTA Chairman Dr. Pradeep Joshi, Gandhi stated, “There are claims that Modi can stop wars, but he cannot prevent paper leaks.”

Rahul Gandhi criticized the government’s failure to address the issue, highlighting that while there were claims of Modi stopping conflicts between Russia and Ukraine, and Israel and Gaza, he cannot or does not want to stop paper leaks in the country. “During the Bharat Jodo Yatra, thousands of students complained about paper leaks. Now, NEET and UGC-NET exams have also been leaked. Leaking papers is an anti-national activity as it severely harms the youth. Those responsible for these leaks should be apprehended and prosecuted,” he asserted.

The Congress leader attributed the ongoing issue of paper leaks to the BJP’s complete control over the system. He emphasized that as long as this control persists, the leaks will continue. “I speak of institutional capture. This is happening across various institutions in India, including educational ones,” Rahul Gandhi remarked.

Gandhi’s remarks come in the wake of the recent cancellation of the UGC-NET exam due to a leak, adding to the woes of students already affected by the NEET paper leak scandal.
