The Urdu Journalists Welfare Association of Warangal organized an event on 12th November 2024 at Golden Guest House, LB Nagar, Warangal, to celebrate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. The occasion was marked as National Education Day and Minority Welfare Day.
The program was presided over by Mr. Mohammad Qadeer Mohiuddin, NRI, with distinguished guests Dr. Mohammad Bahadur Ali, former Principal of Islamic Degree College, Warangal, and Dr. Mir Kokab Ali, Principal of Islamic Degree and PG College, Warangal.
The event commenced with a Quranic recitation by Hafiz Mohammad Sadiq Hussain, followed by a Hamd-e-Bari Taala performance by Mohammad Hamed Hussain Hamed.
Dr. Mir Kokab Ali, in his address, illuminated Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s contributions to religious, political, social, and cultural fields. He emphasized the importance of Maulana Azad’s vision, highlighting the pressing need for today’s youth to embody his thoughts and values.
Dr. Mohammad Bahadur Ali gave an insightful speech, shedding light on lesser-known aspects of Maulana Azad’s life and work. He discussed Azad’s political and social strategies post-independence, particularly his commitment to national unity, minority rights, and educational reforms in a multi-religious society.
Dr. Bahadur Ali also reflected on Maulana Azad’s resilience in the face of societal upheavals following India’s partition. Despite fluctuating support and opposition from political leaders, Maulana Azad remained steadfast in promoting national integrity, interfaith harmony, and educational progress.
The audience gained valuable knowledge from the speeches, deepening their understanding of Maulana Azad’s legacy.
During the event, Mohammad Akbar Zia briefly explained the objectives and purpose of establishing the Urdu Journalists Welfare Association, Warangal.
In his concluding remarks, the program president, Mohammad Qadeer Mohiuddin, praised the guest speakers for their engaging presentations and appreciated the organizers for their efforts. He expressed a desire to continue hosting such meaningful events in the future.
In the second phase, the Urdu Journalists Welfare Association, Warangal, honored the distinguished guests and program president with floral tributes.
Additionally, young cricket player Mohammad Sameer, selected for the district’s Under-14 cricket team from LB Nagar, Warangal, was felicitated with flowers and a memento in recognition of his achievement.
The event was attended by notable individuals, including Mohammad Abdul Quddus, Syed Masood (Former Corporator), Mohammad Wasim, Khwaja Kaifi, Mohammad Siraj Ahmad, Iqbal Dard Hamid Akshi, Mohammad Abdul Hafeez, Abdul Latif, Sarwar Mohiuddin Ghazi, Mahmood Bhai, Hamed Hussain Hamed, Waheed Gulshan, Mohammad Abdul Naeem, Mohammad Munawaruddin, Ilm Danish Mohammad Akram, Mohammad Siraj, Mohammad Mashooq, Mohammad Masood Bhai Barood, as well as a large number of journalists.
The program was expertly hosted by the Association’s Secretary, Ismail Zubair, who managed the proceedings with elegance and finesse.
Before the event concluded, the Association’s officials, including Mirza Fatehullah Baig Riyaz, Ismail Zubair, Hafiz Fazal Ur Rehman Wajid, Mohammad Jaffer, Mohammad Akhtar Hussain Akhtar, Hafiz Syed Sadiq Hussain, and Akbar Zia, expressed their sincere gratitude to the guests, the president, and the audience for their participation, marking the successful conclusion of the event.
