Hyderabad : – In a significant move, the Telangana government is set to kickstart the application process for the implementation of six guarantees pledged by the Congress party during the election campaign. Starting from December 28, application forms will be accepted by government officials in villages and towns across the state until January 6, marking the commencement of Praja Palana, the public outreach program initiated by the new government.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, at a program held in the state Secretariat on Wednesday, unveiled the logo, poster, and application forms associated with the six guarantees. Present at the event were Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, ministers, and top government officials.
The six guarantees, namely Mahalakshmi, Rythu Bharosa, Gruha Jyothi, Indiramma Illu, Cheyutha, and Yuva Vikasam, form the core focus of the application process. The Chief Minister emphasized that applications would be accepted during the eight working days at gram sabhas in villages, towns, and municipal wards.
Revanth Reddy assured that the government is committed to ensuring that the benefits of these guarantees reach all eligible beneficiaries. He reiterated the government’s dedication to reaching out to the people and delivering justice.
The Praja Palana logo, titled ‘Abhayahastam,’ prominently features the names of the six guarantees, accompanied by a portrait of the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The Chief Minister, marking the occasion, also released an open letter to the people, expressing gratitude for electing a people’s government.
Highlighting the government’s achievements, Revanth Reddy claimed that history was made as two guarantees were fulfilled within 48 hours of assuming office. Specifically, women were granted the privilege of free travel in TSRTC buses, and the coverage limit of the Rajiv Arogyasri scheme was increased to Rs 10 lakh. The government’s proactive approach reflects its commitment to promptly fulfilling its electoral promises.
