ACB Team Seizes Cash, Gold, and Passbooks During Raid on Dasari Narendar
Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) recently raided the residence of Dasari Narendar, the superintendent and in-charge revenue officer of the Nizamabad Municipal Corporation, unearthing assets valued at approximately Rs 6.07 crore.
The raid uncovered significant wealth, including Rs 2.93 crore in cash, Rs 1.10 crore across various bank accounts held by Narendar, his wife, and his mother, 51 tolas of gold worth Rs 6 lakh, and 17 immovable properties valued at Rs 1.98 crore.
Narendar faces charges under Sections 13(1)(b) and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, for accumulating assets far exceeding his income through corrupt means. He has been arrested and will be presented before the Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases in Hyderabad. The investigation remains active, with further searches expected to reveal additional assets.
