Hyderabad : – In a scathing critique, distinguished breast surgeon P. Raghu Ram has strongly condemned model-actor Poonam Pandey, accusing her of engaging in a distasteful stunt related to cervical cancer for what he deems as “cheap publicity.”
Expressing his disapproval, Dr. Raghu Ram, the founding director of KIMS-Ushalakshmi Centre for Breast Diseases in Hyderabad, stated, “Shame on Poonam Pandey for creating a new low – cheap publicity, trivializing the second most common cancer affecting women in India on the eve of World Cancer Day.”
Dr. Raghu Ram went on to criticize Poonam Pandey for allegedly misusing her ‘celebrity status’ and described her actions as “disgraceful” while highlighting the impact on the millions of women affected by the disease, along with their caregivers. He emphasized that such insensitivity towards a serious illness is an insult to those involved in creating awareness about cancer prevention and early detection.
