Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, March 22, 2024 : A video has emerged from Uttar Pradesh’s Amethi, depicting railway workers pushing a broken-down train on Friday. Onlookers captured the incident on video and shared it across social media platforms. The unexpected stoppage of the train on the outskirts also disrupted the schedule of other trains. Despite concerted efforts, workers were unable to rectify the issue, prompting them to resort to manually pushing the train. This incident underscores the imperative need for stringent safety protocols and maintenance standards within the railway department.
Inspector RS Sharma of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) commented on the incident, stating, “A DPC train used by railway officials for inspection broke down on Thursday at the outskirts of Nihalgarh Railway Station. Railway employees were deployed to manually push it to the station. Subsequently, the snag was repaired, and the train resumed its journey to its destination.”
Following the viral circulation of the video on the internet, Railway authorities have been directed to launch an investigation into the matter and take necessary measures to ensure the safety and efficiency of railway operations in the region.
In a related development, Akhilesh Yadav shared a video on his social media platforms, mocking the situation. He wrote, “Summon the Railway Minister immediately, and give him a push too!
