In a surprising revelation, a private petrol pump belonging to the Nizam of Hyderabad has been discovered within the confines of the city’s KBR National Park, drawing widespread attention.
According to recent media reports, the purpose behind the establishment of this petrol pump was to cater exclusively to the fleet of automobiles, trucks, and machinery owned by the Nizam himself, adding an intriguing historical layer to the park’s landscape.
The existence of this hidden gem came to light when Raju Alluri stumbled upon it during a routine walk and promptly shared his discovery on social media platform Facebook, sparking curiosity and discussion among the public.
The KBR National Park, formerly known as the Jubilee Hills Forest Block, spans a vast area of 142.5 hectares. Despite its expansive size, the presence of the private petrol pump went largely unnoticed until now, tucked away in one of the areas retained under the possession of the erstwhile ruler, in compliance with the Urban Land Ceiling Act.
