Nita Ambani is renowned for her impeccable fashion sense and exquisite taste in jewelry, reflecting India’s rich cultural heritage. At the recent Miss World 2024 competition held in Mumbai on March 9, 2024, she stole the spotlight with her stunning ensemble, accessorized with a piece of history.

Wearing a handloom Banarasi saree adorned with intricate jangla design, crafted from luxurious gold and zari, Nita Ambani exuded elegance. The elaborate floral jaal with meenakari detailing further enhanced her look, while her soft curls and immaculate makeup added to her allure.

However, it was her ‘bazuband’ that garnered attention, believed to be none other than a ‘Kalgi’ worn by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. As per claims by an Instagram page, this exquisite jewel is valued at over Rs. 200 crores, making it a prized possession in Nita Ambani’s collection.

According to details shared by the IG page, Topophilia, the jewel stands at 13.7 cm in height and 19.8 cm in width, intricately crafted from gold and adorned with diamonds, rubies, and spinels using the Pachhikakaam technique, a nod to traditional Indian craftsmanship. This remarkable piece of jewelry was last documented at the AI Thani Collection auction in 2019 before its recent appearance.

Nita Ambani’s sartorial choices continue to captivate, with each ensemble and accessory bearing testament to her impeccable style and appreciation for India’s rich heritage.
