Hyderabad :- In a charged atmosphere at his Hyderabad election rally, Asaduddin Owaisi, the chief of All India Majlis e Ittehad Ul Muslimeen (AIMIM), launched a scathing rebuttal against Union Minister Anurag Thakur’s recent remarks during his visit to the city.

Addressing the crowd, Owaisi vehemently rejected Thakur’s comparison of him to Aurangzeb, questioning the relevance of such historical figures to his identity. He declared, “What is my connection to Aurangzeb and Babar? What is my connection to these emperors of the past? Are you not from the Aryan race?” Owaisi’s fiery rhetoric left no room for doubt as he vowed to astound his critics with his forthcoming words.

Expanding on his stance, Owaisi championed the rights of India’s indigenous communities, asserting that the nation rightfully belongs to the Adivasis and Dravidians. He condemned the upper caste narrative, labeling it as an assertion of arrogance. “Calling me ‘Babar ki Aulaad’ and relating me to Aurangzeb and Babar is the arrogance of the upper class,” he declared, rallying the crowd against entrenched social hierarchies.

Asserting the pivotal role of Muslims in India’s freedom struggle, Owaisi passionately highlighted historical contributions. He challenged the prevalent narrative, reminding the audience that the country’s liberation was not orchestrated by those affiliated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He specifically referenced Maulvi Ismail, the Imam of the Makkah Masjid in Hyderabad, who led Muslims in revolt against colonial rule.

Moreover, Owaisi accused Thakur of disrespecting the people of Hyderabad, eliciting strong reactions from the crowd. He then turned the spotlight on the audience, questioning their aspirations for the future. He asked whether they desired five years of unemployment, Hindutva rule, and the persecution of minority practices under the current government. The crowd’s emphatic response of “nakko” reverberated through the rally grounds, signaling their rejection of divisive politics and commitment to inclusivity.
