Hyderabad, 17th October 2024: Lulu Mall Hyderabad celebrated the beginning of the festive season with its annual Cake Mixing Ceremony on 17th October 2024. The grand event, a traditional prelude to the festive period, witnessed enthusiastic participation from guests, celebrities, and culinary professionals.
The event was headlined by renowned Chef Sanjay Thumma of VahRehVah fame, along with Senior Chef Vikram Simha and Power Chef Pranav. Lulu Mall’s senior officials also graced the occasion, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
Chef Sanjay Thumma provided insights into the historical significance of the cake mixing tradition, which dates back to the 17th century. He explained that the ceremony is the first step in preparing rich, flavorful fruitcakes, symbolizing unity, sharing, and the festive spirit. “The ceremony brings people together, creating a bond of togetherness, love, and joy for the season,” said Chef Sanjay.
Mr. Abdul Khadeer, Regional Director of Lulu Hyderabad, revealed that this year, the mall is preparing a massive cake weighing over 25,000 kilograms. The ingredients include imported dry fruits, nuts, cherries, and tutti frutti, all carefully selected to ensure the best quality. Mr. Khadeer emphasized that non-alcoholic imported juices would be used in the mixing process to cater to a diverse audience.
In addition to the cake mixing, Lulu Mall inaugurated a food carnival featuring over 30 food brands. Food lovers can indulge in more than 50 varieties of dishes, starting at just ₹99. The food festival will be open to the public daily from 10 AM to 11 PM until 20th October 2024.
