Warangal, August 7 – Mohammad Sharfuddin Waseem, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal (KITSW), has been awarded a Ph.D. degree by the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli.
A press release issued on Wednesday stated that Waseem received his doctorate from NIT Tiruchirappalli Director G. Aghila during the 20th Convocation ceremony.
Waseem’s Ph.D. thesis, titled “Text Detection and Recognition from Natural Scene Images Using Deep Learning Principles,” was completed under the guidance of Associate Professor M. Brindha from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at NIT Tiruchirappalli.
