Hyderabad, November 15, 2024: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) is set to host its fifth national Members Conclave (Arkaan Ijtema) in Hyderabad, focused on the theme of “Justice and Equality.” Scheduled from November 15 to 17 at the Wadi-e-Huda Grounds, Pahadi Shareef, the three-day event is expected to gather over 15,000 JIH members and 2,000 family members. The conclave’s arrangements are being managed by a dedicated team of more than 1,500 volunteers.
Addressing the media, Chief Organizer Abdul Jabbar Siddiqui highlighted JIH’s extensive engagement across spirituality, interfaith understanding, social development, and value-based politics. He mentioned that JIH’s previous national conclave was also held in Hyderabad in 2015 under the leadership of Late Maulana Jalaluddin Umari. This year’s conclave will be led by JIH President Syed Sadatullah Husaini, continuing to foster unity among members around JIH’s core values and mission.
Vice President and Program Convenor S. Ameenul Hasan shared that the conclave’s discussions will center on urgent social, educational, and economic challenges under the banner of “Justice and Equality.” The program includes sessions on critical national and international issues, social development, and Islamic education, offering members a platform to deepen their commitment to creating a peaceful and just society.
A special highlight of the event will be the “IDRAK Tahreek Showcase,” an exhibition featuring over 100 community and social development programs led by JIH nationwide. The showcase will include grassroots initiatives in fields such as communal harmony, human rights, healthcare, education, and social development. Outstanding projects from recent years will be displayed, with JIH representatives available to interact with visitors and answer queries.
Though primarily organized for JIH members, the conclave will also welcome non-members and the general public. Vice President Prof. Salim Engineer announced that the exhibition and a special “Business Expo” by Rifah Chambers of Commerce will be open to all. Additionally, on November 16, a special session beginning at 6:30 pm will be available for associates and supporters, where an attendance of 10,000 additional participants from Telangana, Maharashtra, and Karnataka is anticipated.
The Business Expo, organized alongside the conclave, will feature around 200 businesses from across India, providing a valuable platform for networking and business development.
